So this is my first official post on this journey. And while I feel overwhelmed absorbing “everything”, I make a little progress each day with organization and practice and working on my DMP. I absolutely loved the Desire piece of the Napoleon Hill book….so inspiring. I think above all else, that’s how I would describe my experience here so far 🙂
Hence the name of this first blog post.
I am especially inspired by the part on Edwin Barnes, how he kept at it to achieve his ultimate goal of working with Thomas Edison as a partner even when it didn’t look like much was happening on the outside…his heart, his world within was “right on” his goal, his passion, desire, obsession.
For the steps provided in getting there, I love the “exhortation” to see and believe yourself already in possession of our desire. This is something I want to work on.
In addition, I have left the port of being distracted too easily and started to translate my dreams into organized thought. I am ready to receive what I wish for. I also feel ready to be of more service to the world…within the parameters I am working on setting. And within the healing I still have before me as well. I am getting there each our of each day.
I have a feeling that it won’t take too long until the words of the Blueprint will be more and more a part of me, and I do plan to memorize it.
The 15 minute sitting meditation is also awesome. I’ve meditated a few years, but haven’t focused too much on sitting completely still. It turns out I truly enjoy it. I also love the idea of imaging all the participants doing this as well.
In closing, here are some of my favorite points from the first lesson:
9 Harmony in the world within will be reflected in the world without by harmonious conditions, agreeable surroundings, the best of everything. It is the foundation of health and a necessary essential to all greatness, all power, all attainment, all achievement and all success.
16 Life is an enfoldment, not accretion. What comes to us in the world without is what we already possess in the world within.
21 The result is that we build strength, vitality and all constructive forces into our body, but it is through that same objective mind that all distress, sickness, lack, limitation and every form of discord and inharmony is admitted to our lives. It is therefore through the objective mind, by wrong thinking, that we are related to all destructive forces.
